| . A look at the Software
Before we get into basic concepts, let's take a few minutes to explain the wizard view. The wizard takes care of all the scheduling settings. It lists all of the URLs together and actually creates the appropriate profiles using an intuitive graphical user interface. The wizard is very powerful and very useful, so it's suggested that you use this most of the time. It's also possible to adjust the settings yourself after the wizard finishes exporting your projects if you need more control.
Schedule
Let's take a look at the schedule button now. This can be seen below:
You can schedule any one of these projects listed. What you need to do is select a project, hit schedule, schedule projects.
This will load the project and the schedule window. You can then schedule the project to start at a certain date and time, or you can schedule a project to start after another project finishes.
Use the only use URLs from the last 24 hours option (in the social bookmarking project) to restrict the project to use only URLs which were generated within the last day.
Everything is done automatically when using the wizard to chain events together. But if you want to do it manually then you can adjust these settings.
You can also choose to spread submission over a certain number of days. You can also schedule it randomly. When you save the project you will then see the scheduling settings. It will tell you when the schedule was last run, the status, and when it will run again.
Edit Schedule
Editing a schedule is easy, click the schedule button and click on edit schedule. This will reset the schedule so that you can change when it is run. You can also temporarily pause the schedule to stop it running until you allow it to run again.
This will reset the schedule and allow you to create a new schedule for this event. Just as a precaution it’s always a good idea to check your work to check it is scheduled at the right time.
Profiles
Now we're going to look at profiles. Profiles are collections of accounts which SenukeX uses to submit to the sites. These are on the profiles tab. Let's take a look at one profile so you can see what's inside it. Simply double click a profile to open it. This will display all of the accounts associated with this profile.
It's possible to add more accounts by adding manually, or importing them from a CSV file. It's also possible to export the list as a CSV. Accounts can be removed by highlighting them and clicking on the delete accounts button.
Another interesting thing about profiles is that different campaigns have different profiles. Some will have lots of profiles, but other campaigns will have no profiles. By creating a new account profile it is possible to organize your campaigns so you don't get confused. New Profiles can be created by clicking New, Account Profile. Then it can be named. It’s a good idea to come up with a system for naming the profile so you know what is inside. You can select multiple profiles that you want to nuke with. It’s possible to select all, or simply select the individual profiles you wan to work with. Doing this is very useful because it looks like multiple people are nuking the sites. This will make it look like multiple people are nuking the same content.
URL Lists
Now we’re going to look at URL lists. This can be found by clicking on the URLs tab at the top of the screen. To create a new URL list click new, Page URL List. Then you can title it and double click it to open it.
In this window it’s possible to add URLs individually using the add button, us using the batch add button to add multiple URLs.
It’s also possible to load URLs from a CSV and save them back to CSV. The anchor text can be adjusted as needed.
You can right click and combine URL lists by highlighting them and then clicking combine. Right click and click combine.
You can also create a RSS URL list. Just by clicking New, RSS URL List and then naming it. This is the same as a Page URL list. You can add pages individually, in a batch or as a CSV file. You can copy, cut and paste URL lists by using shortcut keys, or the buttons at the top of the screen.
Importing
It’s also possible to import profiles, projects, URLs from the old version of SEnuke to SEnuke X. Click the Import Button and then select what you want to import. Navigate to the folder and then import the chosen objects from the old version. This will automatically import the profiles from the old version of the software into the new version. This is helpful if you were using the old SENuke X software and want to continue using the new version without losing all of your work. So that’s scheduling, Page URL lists, RSS URL Lists and Importing. Check the next tutorial for more help using SE Nuke X. |
